The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

ok, i had a brain storm the other night

i have a Muzzlelite mini 14 shroud for my T2 plasma rifle
Image

i just got my hands on the laser scope they used and i was thinking....they don't make a mini 14 rifle for airsoft but useing a Famas,Aug, SA80 OR m14 or M4(only because the mini 14 uses M4 looking mags. do you guys think i can gut the AS gun and use them in the Shroud

Image

size wise the shroud has a lot of room in it and a long time ago i saw some kinda mod with a AUG magazine in it

ideals?

Been there, thought about that. :)

The M-14 is Waaaaaay to big to use. It's about 1/2 inch too thick, as well as being too tall. The Mini-14 fires .223 while I believe the
M-14 is .30 cal. The only airsoft replica that's been made has been the Mini .30 (which is closer, but still the wrong version).

I wish they made a mini-14, as it was also used in the Starship Troopers Morita and the M590 rifle from Space: Above and Beyond.

What rifle component is that you have pictured with the shell above?

The problem you're going to run into is you'll need to completely gut the AEG and transplant the guts into the new shell.
This will require making custom mount points for the mechbox, feed tupe/hop up assembly, barrel and mag well.

It's TOTALLY possible to do so, it will just need a bit of trial and error to get it done right.

You'd scavenge the mechbox, mag well, hop up and inner barrel from the Famas and then work on placement.
If you use M16 mags, you'll need to slightly modify them to work with the retention system of the Famas
mag well.
