Post subject:  Colonial Marine Outfit+PR Questions

Hi my name is Chevy(online atleast) after being a Aliens fan for 15+ years I recently came into a trust that matured from when I was a baby and was intrested in Putting toghter a complete/authentic Colonial Marine Outfit with a working PR I just have no real idea where to look for such things Besides having gotten a few good ideas from Sci hero forums who told me to post here

supposedly someone on here named MAA has good complete authentic looking BDU kits along with spatcave was looking at spatcaves prices they seem reasonable but thought I would see if anyone knew a link to MAA's shop/pricing.

as far as the boots go I think I got thoose covered looks like they are pretty much just od army green boots that I can get at a few places online for bout 75 USD

the main 2 pieces I was having trouble with is the PR part,to start I would like it to be working I don't care if it is airsoft but again have no idea where to get the best kit for PR conversion and airsoft guns(I realize I need a tommy SMG and 870 pump)

can someone list some good sites for this and conversion kits

as far as money goes I would like to spend bout 1k on the airsoft guns and conversion kit( I am sure I can put it togther with accurate enough directions as I am ASE certified for most of todays productions gasoline engines)

as far as the armor set goes I wanted to get comparative pricing on spats and MAA before I decide which to go with

thanks in advance for the help

MAA/men-at-arms does his main business over at the sci-fi forums.

Here's his most recent post about the BDUs:

Register and then send him a private message to enquire about the BDUs/armour.

The boots are Vietnam era Jungle boots with the Vibram sole.

Regarding the PR, are you after a working airsoft shotgun (870) and the Thompson, or will just the Thompson suffice?

If it's the latter, then the kit you'll likely be after is called the G&P kit:

If it's the former, then that's close to what we call a Hero PR, with a shotgun inside a real Spas 12 cage, similar to this one using deac guns:

well right now I am just looking for something that makes everything work from the trigger to the shotgun to the ammo counter and the sounds to go with it out I would also like something that looks pretty close to the real thing

Sounds as well? That's a part that's more difficult, but a few on here have done that, so hopefully they'll chip in with advice. :)

USCM Charter
This site should help you out.

Like Steve has said there are a few PR's that have moving parts...but the sounds are not standard as far as I know.
There are however sound kits you can buy to upgrade....but I'm not familiar enough with those.

HCG (Hollywood Collectibles Group) just came out with an accurate PR with moving parts....but no sound and the counter does not count down, those are just under $1,000

I put in the hyperdyne kits (counter, lights, and sound) in my G&P PR.

If you figure out how to fit the speaker, circuit boards, and stick battery, and still have a working pump action GL with a solid grenade, lemme know. It's a tight fit.

Good luck.
