I had some previous experience of stripping down airsoft guns, admittedly. I built mine in a long afternoon. The only snags I had were a couple of things that needed a little dremelling (stock guides and base plate) but the rest of it was pretty straightforward - if you can strip an airsoft gun, or put together a model kit you can build this no problem. PVB has an excellent guide, it came in very handy. Only thing i did out of sequence was fit the stock locking parts at the very last instance as you need to flip the whole thing over a couple of times, and that usually ends up on the floor. |

My Thompson was the Tokyo Marui version, but I imagine others aren't that different. You mention a kit, but do you mean what's commonly called the G&P kit? Click the link in my sig for the guide and the G&P kit details. ![]() |
