The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I had some previous experience of stripping down airsoft guns, admittedly.

I built mine in a long afternoon. The only snags I had were a couple of things that needed a little dremelling (stock guides and base plate) but the rest of it was pretty straightforward - if you can strip an airsoft gun, or put together a model kit you can build this no problem.

PVB has an excellent guide, it came in very handy. Only thing i did out of sequence was fit the stock locking parts at the very last instance as you need to flip the whole thing over a couple of times, and that usually ends up on the floor.

My Thompson was the Tokyo Marui version, but I imagine others aren't that different.

You mention a kit, but do you mean what's commonly called the G&P kit?

Click the link in my sig for the guide and the G&P kit details. :)
