Well I'm off work for the rest of the year and one of my projects is to get my gun wall assembled.....however I don't know where to start.

I have and will be getting more prop guns from movies and wish to display them on a wall....but how?

I don't want the racking to be visible, I'd prefer to have the holders behind the guns or maybe clear and not clearly visible to show the illusion of the guns simply floating on the wall, but removeable.

Has anyone done this or have any ideas on where to start?

Current additions to the wall:

Pulse Rifle - Aliens
Ithica - Aliens
Mossberg 500 - Hot Fuzz
FAL L1A1 SLR - Hot Fuzz
Jericho 941 - Hot Fuzz
Franchi SPAS-12 - Jurassic Park

I used to have a section of slat wall up in my computer room that held peg hooks and shelves, but that won't
fit your "must be invisible" requirement. It worked well, but was a bit of an eyesore as it wasn't painted the
same as the rest of the room.

While I'm waiting for the framer to get here to let me begin the shelving I decided to test a few ideas with this.

This is what I finished up with....which I personally am more than happy with.


Just simple long nails into the wall at a slight angle.
The guns aren't heavy enough to require any more support and the nails are practically invisible unless you really look.

The Ithaca shotgun and Thompson (when it arrives) will go on the opposite wall next to the shelving....and then the various artwork on the separate wall spaces.

Finally....a place to call my own!!

That's the motion tracker....right now its simulating a coffee table where the tracker will eventually be displayed.
