The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I was asked to post some pix of my airsoft mods.

Here is the 9 V battery placement, I cut corresponding notches in both shroud halves under the trapezoid to fit a 9v or a 2-AAA pack.

Here is the airsoft barrel with a notch cut for battery clearance, also shown is where I cut the barrel off to mount the barrel extension, I use two 8-32 set screws to force it up and center it in the AS barrel. Alsothe custom blocks I make to mount the grenade launcher. Makes for a nice solid setup.

I take stick batteries and cut the rigid heat shrink off and shrink flexible heat shrink (polyolefin) so that the battery can flex a little so you can shoehorn it into the mag tube of the shotgun.

I'll post more when I have time.
LMK if you have any questions.

Hey Matt,

Does the Grenade Launcher have that flap at the bottom of the 870 where you silde shells into a real 870 or is that left off? Sorry if that doesn't make sense

I usually leave it off on airsofts because it interferes with racking the slide when a battery is in there. But one can be put on if so desired.

*edit* it's called the shell lifter and they are available from various sources separately in real steel if needed.

Sweet, Thanks for that. Haven't done any mods to the AS yet so will see how it goes.

So the 9V powers the Counter and the battery stick powers the Airsoft motor?

Pretty sweet, Matt!!

Do you mind if some of us copy the 9V method for our own PRs?

Copy or modify as you see fit, I want people to have as many options as possible.

The stick battery runs the airsoft, I had it in mind to shunt counter power off the main battery but decided against it, at least this way the counter will 'glow' when the airsoft battery is removed.

Another real simple battery solution is to simply wedge the pack up in the stock, run a zip tie or velcro binder to hold it in place.

Counters can run on either 9v for deluxe counters or two AAA's for static couters. The shroud slots will accomodate both.
