Well I am used to the standard static .56 led. On Halloween the thing put out a bunch of heat and I think fried a couple led's. So now it reads gibberish instead of 95. I would like to use the disk batteries like in watches or car remotes to save space. Its a tight fit where I have the AA's as the mag rubs them when inserting and extracting the mag. Like I said im no electric whiz and I would like to get advice from others as some may know its ease to fry the leds it not properly wired or wrong voltage. |

There are certainly alternatives: when I made my pulse rifle cake I built a little self-contained unit for the LED and a single watch-type battery. The battery was a CR2032 which is 3V. I tested it first and it ran for over a day without any problems. ![]() |
