The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I've been offered an MGC cap firing Rem M31/RS2. Does anyone know if this is a suitable replacement for the 870?
I'd love to be able to make a PR from cap PFC models, so hopefully this will work.
Anyone got any ideas on this? or is this totally not right, looks very similar in build other than the stock, and the trigger guard, both of which will not be need anyway.

Theres one here:

Thanks

Lewis

I have one of these and it just fits in one of my real SPAS cages.

I also have a PFC M1A1 too :)

Thanks SAS. Thats great news. So it should be fine? Do you know how it takes down? Does the grip and stock come off easy enough?

Have you thought of making a PR with them?

If its the folding stock version, its a single screw that removes the stock/grip - easy.
I got it with the intention of using it for a PR.

Thing is it only has a single 'arm' from pump grip to mechanism where the Maruzen has two and its on the 'wrong' side for attaching to the SPAS pump grip.

The 870 looks totally different than the 31 guys.

Ejections ports are night and day, and with the 31 you're going to have to cut a much bigger hole in your spas cage for the ejection port, maybe even the loading port would have to be cut differently.

Thanks noelandlovesguns, i just realised the ports are different, the 31 being square. Are you sure as its square its not smaller than the 870s?
If its smaller its not too much of a problem as its all hidden anyway. If i have to make the hole in the spas bigger, again i think it might worth the trouble to get a PFC working ina PR.

What do you guys think? Is this a lost cause or a worth trying?

well. i've started this build and heres the MGC PFC m31 in a real SPAS cage.

I've lined up the m31s ejection port with the centre of the REM SPAS cut, which has been drawn on for now.

Nice fit. Barrels need cutting, and trigger guard also. Will need a couple of extra small cust either side of trigger due to safety button ( i think its the safety).

So if youre using an MGC m31 there is very little extra that needs doing, than the normal REM cuts.

be careful cutting the trigger guard off as there might be part of the mechanism inside it, especially the front area - there is on the airsoft.

just make a metal tube to attach to the SPAS pump. Similiar to how the M31 pump functions.

Normal cuts to the spas cage.

I did cut holes for the safety button, but i dont think you need them. But i did find the M31 moves down a bit sometimes, and then pushes on the safety.

I ended up drilling a hole all the way through the cage and M31 to hold it in place, so it wouldnt slip down.
