The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hey guys long time no type :)
Hope everyone is doing good.

I'm looking to put together the SRU kit from the TV show "Flashpoint" and I just wanted to run a few things by you guys first seeing as you are all much more in the know about these things.

Here are a few production shots to give you an idea:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1059475/mediaindex

Now I know they use Remingtons 700 for the Sierra's but the CQB weapon is a little unfamiliar to me.

Here is a closeup: http://www.imdb.com/media/rm2532611072/tt1059475

The closest thing i could find was a crosman air soft:

There is also this but the clip is all wrong:

Sadly I don't think those can come across the border so I'll have to settle for this:

I was looking for the mounted light and grip and what I found is more expensive than the whole clear plastic kit :(
I was wondering if you guys know of anything a little cheaper.

For the Remington 700 I was figuring I could probably just make myself one since it has a heck of a lot less details than the CQB weapon, If you guys could just help me out with the overall dimensions or if you know of any schematics that exist out there, my searches have come up a little dry.

Also if you are aware of some cheap bi-pods available somewhere, I don't feel like spending 100$ on a mini set of legs for a gun that will just look pretty.

I could ask a bunch of other questions about the kit but it's not really air soft related at this point so I might just take the topic in a more appropriate thread.

Thanks in advance guys :)

I'm no gun expert, but isn't it a H&K MP5 variant?

I think that one is a Chinese all metal electric airsoft.

But you can get various H&K MP5's as really cheap springer airsofts so it might be worth checking around local airsoft shops/online.
Not sure of your gun laws but some are readilly available over here in coloured (two-tone) or clear plastic.

According to my semi-expertise of weaponry, yes, it is an H&K MP5 variant... of some sort. MP5's are popular with SWAT and police teams anyways, so it fits.

Looks like a standard H&K MP5 model, with retractable stock, retro-fitted with an MP5 K model foregrip and a load of tactical extras added on.

For Airsoft, I know Zero One here in the UK could probably custom build this for you off a standard Marui electric MP5. I don't know of any Canadian shops, though.

Mart, talk to VA2 ECM aka Porkchop aka Ernst for the correct model and how to obtain. He's the king of Quebec airsoft.
