Post subject:  New matrix pulse rifle owner - any tips ?

Well , I have been struggling all day with a 3d printed pulse rifle kit , it’s been a nightmare !! Every part I touch breaks , it’s fragile as heck and the parts don’t fit together well at all - not to mention it came with ZERO instructions , just a picture of the finished kit ! LOL - total joke - should throw it away ……. So - My wife just ordered me a matrix pulse rifle from evike !! It should ship Monday - I’ve not had one of these before , any advice or tips for these ? I plan to mainly use it for cosplay , but I may use to do some target shooting . Can a sling be added and be secure enuf to use ? Don’t want to take a chance in dropping it . Are there alternatives for the magazine cap ?

Pretty sweet that your wife sorted you out with an airsoft Pulse Rifle (that's love, right there ... that or she was sick of your b*tching :D If it were my wife, I know which one it'd be ... ).

Re uploading pics - have a read of Moosh's excellent tutorial HERE, and if that doesn't help, PM me and I see if I can directly assist :)

If you can get some pics up, ppl here might be able to help with assembly.

My first recommendation is get a 20-30,000 RPM Neodymium magnet motor, to replace the weak ferrite magnet motor, and use a 7.4v LiPo, or LiIon battery with about 2,000 or so MAH.

Turn the hop-off all the way off and, clean the inner barrel with isopropyl and a rifle cleaning patch.

Also, use .28g or higher bb’s.

With those simple to do tasks, you should have a fairly snappy and decent shooting replica right off the bat.

Down the road, once you get comfortable enough to dissasemble the body, a tightbore barrel and a Maple Leaf Macaron 60’ bucking will help you get a even more accuracy and range, using .32g.

I have been able to make 200 foot shots with my Pulse Rifle, and before DMR’s were allowed onto the fields I played, I could go up against any other non-Bolt Action on the field.

I tend to build replicas that play the long game, and can be skirmished for a long time.
Once I finish my rebuild of my M41A, I am planning on doing a writeup on the forum.

@Whamhammer - Nice advice, fulla, thank you.
Looking forward to seeing your write-up (esp if there's a detailed take-down).

My pleasure. Hopefully, I can get off my duff, and finish it this winter. I just got a Novritsch SSR90 gearbox shell for it, so I can make the PR a Quick Spring Change setup. I hit a brick wall when I wasnt able to figure out how to fit the H134 into the launcher portion so far.

As far as the “take down” the Snow Wolf manual covers most of that….
