Just opened up my rifle and loaded for the first time wound on the mag and it shoots maybe 10or 15 shots then starts to dry fire then a few more than a lot of dry firing and I have to take the mag out wind it a bit more and start shooting again. Is this normal ? it's impossible for me to shoot from 95 down to zero without it messing up million times. Also the magazine fits very very tightly I also bought a spare magazine and it is very tight also, is this normal? Only mod i did was use a 9.6v battery like recommended |

The Thompson mags fit VERY snug in the Thompson receiver. On my Mags I SLIGHTLY (I can't emphasize this enough, SLIGHTLY) filed the guide rails on the rear, top of the magazine. What this does is creates a slightly beveled point that allows feeding of the mag into the guide channel easier. Thompson mags to not normally "drop free" like AR and pistol magazines do. When locked in place, they're rock solid. As far as misfiring, did you wind the magazine until it makes an audible, louder, "CLICK"? You need to wind high cap mags a long time until you get to the fully wound point and it clicks. |

Ill try these steps later to see if that helps. Also could the hopup be causing any issues? I know where its located but not how to tell if its adjusted properly |

Okay it seems I wasn't winding the magazine all the way. When properly wound I can fire around 95 rounds before having to go to rewind it |

Glad you figured it out! If you're getting BB jams, back the hop up off a little bit. This will keep the BBs from jamming. Also, use good quality BBs. Cheap BBs can cause all sorts of issues. |
