auction
Hey all, I got my hands on two these the other day through pretty much sheer luck, and decided that I only really -needed- one.. As the auction says, I opened it up & tested it, and it ran like a top. Thought I'd post the link in here to see if anyone here was interested in these. :D

Who makes this model? I know there's a couple manufacturers out there, but honestly I know nothing about them right now. Any idea if the mags are Marui AR compatible?
Metal or plastic mechbox? Any metal parts?

Thanks,

Russ

As far as I know, it's marui compatible. I have a few mags that fit marui m4's & they seem to work pretty good. (my Marui VN style short mag drops in with no problems)
According to what I've found, it's made by a company called JLS.
No idea on the mechbox, but the rails, sights, folding stock hinge, and barrel look to be metal.
If I remember right, one of the guys at AA said it's a lower price clone of the marui setup, and you should be able to mess with it the same as a marui one (but don't quote me on that. :o )

Ah yes. I read up on the JLS' last night and they're getting pretty good reviews. The main "whiny" points people have are just nit-picky "detail" problems that have nothing to do with the function of the gun.

I'm not a big AR person, but I may have to look into one of these in the future.

Do you have a reserve or an amount you "need" to get out of it?

No reserve. :)
I got it kinda cheap since it seems to have been the last one they had there, (dunno if they're gonna get more since they got the "high end" ones in, so I think they just wanted it gone.:D ) so as long as it sells for between $70 and retail I'll be happy.

[edit] I also have a couple others I might need to get rid of coming up, I'm debating on the L115A bolt action rifle (I soooooo wanna keep it, but if I gotta sell it, so be it), and a springer Beretta Cx4 Storm (which has been seen in the new BSG series)[/edit]
