Hi, I'm electronic engineer and hobby robot builder I've been recently asked about posibilities to create airsoft version (1:1 size) of Sentry gun from Aliens. Design spec. - It will be remote contoled not automatic (like guns used in movie). - Operator will have wireless controll console build depending on posibilities using original GRiD Laptop case or GriD replica - Gun will be equiped with camera and wireless video transmition system. Receiver and screen will be build into Remote Console (GRiD) - Airsoft unit will be standard AEG Thanks to that operator will see targets such equipment could be used at Airsoft field without breaking "blind firing" rule. Question is. Is anybody intrested in getting similar SentryGun? Price is not known in that moment but planed costs are below price of MG34 replica

My memory is being stretched, but a motion one has been done. Does anyone remember the link? i can't remember if it was a Aliens or Airsoft post. A remote control one would be cool. Good luck... What are you doing with a gun in space?

From what I know there was motion detecting sentry gun but it was way, way from beeing similar to sentry guns from Aliens. I was thinking about building motion sensing one but it wouldn't be allowed @ airsoft sites (but there will be possibility to install self-targeting module) In that moment I'm strugling with main body design - I can't find any proper photos of original movie sentry.
