Today I had a nice surprise when my G&P Pulse Rifle stock broke. What a joke that was. I had the stock fully extended with the base resting on my leg and the gun tip facing upward, then all of a sudden (CrAcK), the stock collapsed. I discovered that the small piece of plastic used to keep the locking pin in place cracked completely off inside.

Call this cheap part number #2, the 1st still being the magazine clip (Cover) lock assembly.

I had no choice but to perform surgery. Boy did I feel sick to my stomach. $600 bucks of rattling plastic.

Will, things took a turn for the better when I decided to open her up. With an Allen wrench in one hand and a screw driver in the other, I went for the gold. I was amazed at just how easy it was to disassemble the G&P kit without weakening and/or damaging any parts.

The locking pins located around the perimeter of the Shroud separated rather easily and re-assembly was just as painless.

Not only did I fix the broken part, but also removed the cheesy ass shot gun shell and installed an aluminum grenade.

Now that surgery is over, my PR is better suited for some field punishment.

I’ve taken the time to assemble a step-by-step walk-through of the above-mentioned project.

Nice Job. I noticed it would be a bit weak when I first assembled mine and I machined an aluminum replacement for that part. Sure does make a difference. Also, the grenades that were machined for the Airsoft Remington 870, make a better replacement for the shot shell. IMO. Why, because they are smaller. Excellent work though. :)

Rydiak:

How much would it cost to have the lower magazine cap lock replaced with a machined one? I'm still upset that they made it plastic.

Tiger, I'm hoping that you guys who have the G&P PR and have been improving it can do kinda of photo review for us who are thinking about getting these (i'm building my own but can use your ideas/possibly parts you guys have made). I think Roguestorm has one as well as Rydiak, right ??;)

Hi MENATARMS:

Yeah, looks like Rydiak has one also. Did ya see my instructions posted above in the link? It will at least show you what we are talking about. I still think that you might want to re-enforce the U piece with a back plate or something, especially considering that it just screws into two small plastic nibbles. If you can get a metal U part and add a back plate that baby won't break ever, unless of course you use it as a hammer

I'd like to see that whole piece replaced by a metal one.
I'm wondering if there are some parts one can salvage from an old electronic device, luggage, ot toaster ovens or something that would work ??
