The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

It seems Tanaka is going the put the gas system they pioneered in their M1897 Trench Gun to good use. I just spotted this prototype photo:

It looks to be the same system, so the gas and 3 BBs would be held in each shell.

That's great news. I think I'll pick up one or two of those when they come out. DATA is working on an internal gas tank for the Pulse Rifle at the moment and has gotten some great results but this may mean I have to make ANOTHER PR. My second one is on it's way to me now. May as well make it 3 eh? You can never hve enough Pulse Rifles.

Thanks for the info

Darren

This is the very concept I mentioned almost a year ago. I'm ecstatic that it's finally going to happen!!! That's awesome news!!! Now if only I can figure out where I'd put the airsoft battery once the shotty goes in there...

Make a snake battery and store it in the stock. :)

Those may actually turn out to be illegal in the UK under "Brocock Legislation", given that the propellant is stored in a cartridge alongside the projectile - I'll look into it.

Nice.

Am I going to build another PR as my back up gun?

Has anyone seen how well the shells work?

The bad thing is that it will probably be $350 like the other shotgun they put out. :(

AND, you have to hack it to bits to make it work in a PR.

This is exactly why I'm still considering the option of buying a beater Remington and having it deactivated...the cost would be comparable, or less.

Should be a LOT less. Hell, you can buy a brand new 870 from Walmart for under $250!
