Hi all again
Now that my pulse rifle is finally coming together Im looking for a new stick battery. Anyone know what the smallest stick battery is? Im looking for 8.4 or higher . Im fitting the battery into the grenade launcher.

Go Lipo, once you make the change, you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner :)

You can find tiny lipos that will fit much easier than a standard stick battery - a 7.4V is enough.

Hi thanks for the info. Where is a reliable site to buy one from? My cybergun came with 8.4 batt will a li po 7.4 be enough for a sustained rate of fire?

Not sure what it's like for peeps in the US but I use one of the Hong Kong webstores (and have done for years).

Currently I tend to use either http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/ or http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/Home, as these guys are the most reliable at the moment (the "being reliable" trait seems to jump from place to place every 6months - a year). I've no real loyalty to these guys though and always tend to look at the other big players too - WGC / UNCo / etc.

I have bought the odd bit from http://www.evike.com/ and they were quite good to deal with (but they'd never be my 1st choice given HK is closer to me and Evike rebrand a lot of stuff as their own, which annoys me).

/rant :D

I've moved this thread into the appropriate 'Airsoft Arena' forum.

A 7.4v LiPo will provide more than enough juice for your Pulse Rifle.

I squeezed an 11.1v in mine, just for a more realistic (read insane) rate of fire.

There are many places to get them from. Over here in the UK, I use http://www.component-shop.co.uk

Remember it will need it's own special charger (about £10) and to make sure you don't destroy the battery, you'll need an alarm (about £5).

I'm sure there are a myriad of Airsoft shops over in the states that could supply you with a LiPo battery, or if that's a bit of a step too far for you, then they will be able to supply a standard NiMh Stick style battery.
Redwolf, evike... I'm sure someone can mention many better places.

You will need either a 8.4v or I think you could get in a 9.6v one (this may need some internal modification), and go for a high mAh, like 1500 or 1600, which I think is the largest they currently do in small 2/3A cell types.

Hey Chef, not meaning to be a dick but in all honesty, as an overseas buyer, I would *never* buy airsoft parts from the UK (unless it was a specific part that was out of stock *everywhere* else - I have done this once :| ).
Stuff is just so much more expensive and shipping out of the UK is a killer.

Direct from HK is the way (being sure whatever you are importing is ok with your country's Customs).

I only mention this because propmainiac is US-based.

I did gather that, hence saying he could probably find somewhere in the states....

the links were more for illustrative purposes.

Just like I would *never* buy airsoft bits from new zealand.

Ah yes, so you did. Apologies, I missed that on [skim] reading your post.

And indeed + lol - I too would *not* buy from NZ (local mark-up is a killer).
