Ok. A BIG shout-out, goes out to all the people who have helped me achieve one of my childhood Dreams. I wanted to let everyone know that I am now a proud owner of a Snowwolf/Martrix PR ![]() After some rookie mistakes, I can now build my dream PR to spec. I now want and add all the mods that are available for it (Noble-mag, M40 grenade, 9.6 battery, Brown Bess colour, tinted counter, sound board, led lights, carry strap etc.) Fit them all in lol. My only concern was that the threads on Aliens Legacy are so full of contents and peoples Q&A, helpful hints and tip and Tuts, that it can take days to go through them and find out exactly what you want and what options are available. I never knew that there where so many versions to choose from, depending on how you want to use them and how skill full you are at electronics, spraying etc. The major problem was living in the UK! Which rules apply when it come to which version, whether you need a UKrara etc. Its taken me over 2 months and a lot of money to get to where I am now but still I am happy with the outcome. Lots of people have helped me out along the way and I just wanted to say thanks. Thanks (you know who you are). If you would like to know my story drop me a PM or add to this thread and perhaps we can make a UK hints and tips for procuring a Pulse rifle, as I'd love to give something back to the community. Here's to the next step, to my complete full CM outfit- its not a hobby its a way of life ![]() |

Congrats on getting your dream weapon. There are a lot of different PR "types" out there from static to airsoft to light and sound and top of the line all real steel deals. It's all about what you want, what you can afford, and your skills. All of these PR's have been built here and those involved would be happy to help you modify your gun into the replica you want it to be. The SW is a great gun to start with if you plan lots of mods. You can do a lot with it. If you have any questions all you have to do is ask. It seems you want to do some like I did on the one I built earlier this year. If you haven't checked my threads you can find links in my signature line below. |

Thanks Robiwon, Your threads made me wanna buy one and mod it in the first place... Your mods are soooo cool, and the more I read the more I wanted to get one, so thanks of the inspiration. The problem is sourcing the parts here in the UK, with shipping and customs and the waiting (oh the waiting) its really frustrating. Especially when you guys "state-side" can just source them without too much bother. With money conversions - import tax - customs and the wait - you need dedication to make the dream real. Its also a consistency thing as action hobbies, and the other outlets don't always have what you need, and if your new like me, you are sometimes not sure whether you are looking in the right place or not! (plus I can't access these weapon sites from work.) Any way once again many thanks and I'll post my story soon.. |

Thanks for the kind words! As I'm sure you have realized, building a Pulse Rifle can be an exercise in patience! Tracking down the parts you need can take a while, trust me, I know, LoL! Hang in there, keep looking and I'm sure you will get everything your after. Looking forward to your story. |

I watched some of your videos. Wow, I'm glad we are not forced to have orange painted guns here in the States! That looked like a lot of work! LoL! Good job so far. Looking forward to see how you progress on your custom grenade. |

I know, right! Its a bloody nightmare - lol. I'll add some more links later and take another bash at it over the weekend, which I'll also document. I think now that rather than do this half-ar$ed i'll see it I can make it look the Biz... I thought it would be easy, how wrong I was ![]() Can't source a M40 g over here, so far, so will give try and make a decent substitute... Now where can I find a red cap? |

Well, Im six months in and shes now sits in my closet, waiting to get sprayed. Could I find Brown Bess anywhere!? NO! All the model shops in london seemed to have closed down so I could even go and look at a colour that would suit. Thought about getting some mixed up, in a DIY store, but to much Hassle. I now have a military green can, so I will be posting again soon. In for the long haul it seems. But I'll get there. Still no luck with an M40 grenade. Best go check PAX then BBJ |

Bud... If you want a paint that's 'close' to brown bess, then you can always pop in to your local automotive paint shop and get them to mix you up a rattle can of paint. It'll cost you about £15 for a can, but that'll probably be enough to do two rifles. RAL 7013 is the code you'll need. |

Basically the Humbrol 170 Brown Bess is a discontinued colour. You're probably not aware that Humbrol went bust a number of years ago and was taken over by another company, but basically kept the operation running under the same name (as it was a well known brand). When the new company took over the business, they didn't get much in the way of 'technical data' from the old company, and thus any of the discontinued stuff has been lost to the annals of history. Or such was the conversation I had with the rep at Humbrol when I called to see if they could reintroduce the colour. |

At last I've moved into a house with a little shed, enough space to spray... Yes spay. The awful truth of my dream project dismantled stuck in a bag and box in a chest for almost 3 years. Now at last complete and full filled. She's just drying off now. I couldnt get a Brown Bess substitute so went with a military green, For so long I um and ared about keeping her black as that's how I primed it and as I kinda like it, but it's just not the Pulse I wanted. I'm not worried about her working although I may sort this out another time. And now she's spayed and played I'm not sure on the colour... I may have to re sand and redo witn one of the suggestions above. I will see, but for now she's back together and looking awesome I'll post when I get the chance. Now do I get a sound box and try to get the counter to register or make her an air soft ... Decisions decisions ... |
