I managed to get a very generous chap to send me a colour swatch of some Brown Bess.
I then put this up against my RAL colour chart, and whilst the picture doesn't show it at it's best, it's definitely between 7013 Brown/Grey and 8014 Sepia Brown.

Has anybody found a good match for the factory colour green of the Snow Wolf PR? I'm not really ready to be repainting the whole thing Brown Bess, but want to colour match some bits such as some mag bases from Noble. Any help appreciated! |

I took the existing mag bottom to an auto body supply place, and they color matched it. Not sure what resources you have there though. Auto body paint, you'll need compressor, spray guy, reducer, etc. |

Cheers, that's what I was trying to avoid! I've got car spraying kit, but it's pretty heavy handed for a few mag bases. I'll probably just bite the bullet and repaint the whole shrouding so the colours match |

You can get a 2 pack or cellulose Auto paint in a rattle can now... Get them to colour match it and make you up a can. Not cheap. generally around about £15. I did mine in RAL 7013, and it's not too far off. |

Superb! I'd say 7013 looks closest, but as you say, it's a picture. Will be handy to have a can or two |

Chef - found some web sites that will mix up cans to a RAL colour and deliver, which is going to be most time effective for me. What would you recommend as a material type - Cellulose, Acrylic, or Synthetic Enamel? Also not sure on Satin or Matt as a finish (probably best to go Matt, although I expect Satin would give a more SA finish?). Cheers! |

I used Cellulose on mine, but ultimately it doesn't matter as long as you use the correct primers etc for the paint type. Go with matt at a guess. I'll have a look and see if I can find a pic of a screen used gat on here somewhere. |

I've only ever done car bits and pieces and just used high build primer for that - would that be ok under the cellulose stuff? |

Yes, exactly the same bud. Just make sure the primer you use is compatible with the cellulose paint. The chaps where you get your paint done should steer you in the right direction. I got a high build plastic primer for mine. Was an off the shelf item for them, so it won't be a problem. |
