Hi Guys

I (like everyone here) would love to install a real SPAS12 cage and M870 shotgun onto my pulse rifle.
I've been talking to a gunsmith who thinks he can do it but it would involve a lot of time in developing how to do it.

I have a few questions:

1) Is it practical/feasible to use my TM Thompson airsoft and install the real parts onto this?

2) Is there a really good tutorial on how to install these parts onto a TM Thompson out there?

3) Does anyone know if the G&P full steel M870 airsoft gun would work with this.

Many people have done so.



Just Tommin's, but his I believe requires that you also have his Marui barrel adapter. The idea however is sound, and you could just add spacers (as was done in the past) to get the correct height between the top of the SPAS cage and the bottom of the M1A1 barrel.



Honestly, unless you like carrying around a lot of weight, there's no reason to get a full metal M870, especially since you'll be cutting the barrel down to nothing, and cutting a channel in the left side of the receiver. Save your money.

My current Airsoft PR has an all resin GL section, and it still weighs 13 lbs or so with a battery installed. Adding additional weight to that would be a hernia looking for a place to happen.

I guess I just wanted to go all metal to be as realistic as possible but your right about the weight I guess.
Are there any good sources for the resin M870 parts required and are they a good fit for the SPAS cage?

Matsuo has some 870 parts. The other option would be to pick up a cheap airsoft 870 and cut that all to heck.

Also, Matsuo will be coming out with a new resin M870 that has some kick ass special features. Definately one to watch out for.

I'd rather not divulge at this time. I'll leaver that to Matt, as it's his project. Let's just say it will be the most realistic replica 870 to date.
