I'm looking to build a Pulse rifle that is a mix between uscmCorps wounderful Spec-Ops rifle, and a SAW machine gun. The mod I was looking at was to cut away at the shroud of the G&P PR kit to fit the Cybergun's M1928 drum clip, and it occured to me, will this thing fit the TM gun? Does anyone know? Any help would be great! Hi Dan! Do you have any info on the Cybergun M1928 drum clip? Is it made to be used with the Tokyo Marui M1A1, or is it an after market part for use with a different replica? Chances are, if it's meant to be used with a Marui Thompson, it'll work with the G&P kit so long as the shroud it cut to accomodate it properly. ![]() -Alex "The M41-A. You know, about an hour after posting this I felt pretty foolish. I ended up finding most of the information I needed to know, which is that the Cybergun drum does not fit normal TM thompsons. Oh well, I could machine it to work, but I really don't have the mechanical know how to do so... Yet. However, as I gazed the endless hours of research (and so far have only scratched the surface I decided that I'm going to introduce you all to my project... in the proper forum. Anyhow, thanks for the Reply Alex! Dan Stay Frosty, Dan |

If you MUST have a 50 rd. drum for a M1928 Thompson, there is a kit out of Japan that is meant for the Tokyo Marui M1A1. It comes with finned barrel, drum, and M1828 receiver. It costs more than the TM Thompson though. The one that you are talking about must be the cheapo springer, which are available with stick magazines as well. See above for using cheapo Thompsons for PR conversions. Can be done with a lot of work (the receivers are a lil fatter and different shape as well). Personally, given the boxy style of the M41-A Pulse Rifle, I'd prefer the look of a box magazine over that of a drum style magazine. There are a few box magazine kits out there for airsoft. None that I have seen are meant for the Thompson, but could be altered to do so. From what I understand of airsoft box magazines, some of them actually just use the internals from a hi-capacity magazine, and the space within them that are used to contain the BBs are opened up so that BBs from within the box magazine can continually pour into it. Shouldn't be impossible to construct one ourselves. ![]() -Alex "The M41-A. When you absolutely, positively have to kill every mofo in the room. Accept no substitutes." |
