To my knowledge, the counter and sound board can share a 9 volt battery. The counter can fit within the right side of the magwell just behind the window it's seen through. The sound board... not sure where most people put that... possibly on the other side of the magwell.
The 9 volt battery is usually kept inside the magazine itself, so that when the magazine is slapped in, connectors on the magazine and the M1A1 receiver touch lighting up the counter. On the GNG PR, the 9 volt battery is kept in the magwell, forward of the magazine. Even though it's small, it's still too large to fit entirely in the magwell, and has to stick out the bottom a bit, into the space that is occupied by the magbase. Fortunately the GNG mag base is hollow, and therefore can still attach onto the shroud without concern for bumping against the 9 volt battery.
Some people using other types of PR kits for their airsoft rifles, place the 9 Volt battery within the GL.
