Hi Has anyone here ever bought a boneyard airsoft gun from Evike.com? Thinking about it. Was it worth the price or was it junk and unusable? |

I think appearance-wise, it should be okay. If you are expecting to shoot it, I wouldn't recommend buying it. |

Agree with the above but read their Boneyard section carefully. Evike is a rare one in that every so often their Boneyard item might have formerly been a well-handled display model. You are gambling hard if you are hoping for a semi-functional model. My experience was a lucky one: Months ago I purchased one of their boneyard M1A1s figuring it would be a fun fix-it-yourself project and teach me more about the airsoft sport that I now love. The box had a red tag on the side that said "DEFECTIVE - MISSING PARTS". I used an online disassembly guide and stripped the whole thing down. The gearbox looked like it had never been opened or touched. The motor worked fine and all the connections were solid. The only fix I had to do was with the trigger which internally wasn't making full contact when pulled it. I literally solved it with a wad of duct tape and now it works flawlessly. I am noticing minor drops in the FPS every time I have had it chrono'd for games which means the spring inside is probably tired from prior use. In addition the semi-auto function does not work but I hear this is a common issue from prolonged use. Cosmetically it looked great. The cheesy white stenciling was completely intact and I saw no scratches on either metal or the plastic. If you are looking for a used Thompson that has been refurbished but won't cost quite as much as a new one, I recommend checking out AirsoftMegaStore in their "Certified/Pre-Owned" section or Airsoft Atlanta in their "Clearance" section. |

I've been eyeing that for months debating. I've bought a lot of stuff from their Boneyard before and been very happy with what I got. But I don't need the guns to work, just look good. |

Ive been looking for another barrel for my pulse rifle. I have to make some adjustments and move my gl foward and that means my barrel wil be short. the old barrel i cut up and used aluminum pipe. Since i have to put on another barrel I was going to use the thompson barrel. Just like the original. A new barrel costs the same as what theyre asking for the bonyard thompson. Might just have to pull the trigger on that. |
