Hello everyone. I have been a reading member of this forum for quite a while but don't post that often. I was hoping someone could help me out. I am in the process of building a pulse rifle and am having difficulty finding an adapter to attach the grenade launcher to the bottom of the Airsoft Thompson. Does anyone have any suggestions on the right way to do this? Or an adapter they want to sell? Any help will be appreciated.

Two bolts through the front grip bracket on the Thompson and the holes in the spas cage, just the way the armourers did it for the film

A lot of PRs on here use either the SD Studios upper receiver or the Tommin adapter, both of which make it a lot easier/stronger mounting.

Hi all
I attached a aluminum plate to the top of the spas then attached another aluminum plate to the thompson where the foregrip mount is. Then I mounted them together with 4 screws. Very strong and secure. Both plates measure 1/8 each.

I suggest extending the thompson barrel a little like the hero rifle.

Tommin's adapters take a small "pencil" diameter pipe.


To me, it makes the PR look off.

Oh... I've got someone else's, then.
Mine's an alu block with a roughly 1" dia recess for the Airsoft Thompson to fit into and a roughly 15mm slot the other side, for the usual diameter barrel. The underside has an alu strut that the GL bolts onto:

Certainly the way I'd go on a real Thompson, but I don't trust the durability of the pot metal on the airsoft M1A1. It's a bit too soft for my taste.

I'm worried about the weak metal also. Propmainiac do you have any pictures of what you did with the metal plates?

I woudnt worry about the strength. I have a CYMA airsoft and the strength is fine. I have pics of my custom made mount. Here they are.
The first pic is the launcher mounted to the thompson.



all the screws need to be flush mounted. I used two allen head screws cut short, tapped out two holes and screwed the allen screws. for extra added strength i put a screw through the plates into the barrel mounting holes toward the receiver. Hope this helps. Feel free to ask questions.
