Post subject:  Removing Orange Tips

Hello everyone,

I see that my Matrix Pulse just shipped out from Evike.

I am wondering, what is the best way to remove the orange tips that are attached to the front barrels?

Any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks!

From what I remember there's allot of videos on YouTube with instructions on removing them. :)

I removed one once by curing a slit in it, dipping it in really hot water then just sliding it off.

Now, if I remove the tips, are there just holes underneath? or are the orange tips just covering the properly-colored parts?

Would I be better off just painting them?

When I did it, not on a PR I must add, the tip was simply covering the barrel underneath but I know some companies make barrel tips orange to apply to certain laws etc without having to produce a new part.
If you don't want to run the risk of damaging the barrel then painting would be a good idea :)

The tip has to be painted orange to signify that it is not a real firearm, for importation.

So far, I don't know of any laws that REQUIRE you to keep the muzzle tip orange... In any state...

dont remove it. just take sharpie and color it in. some states can get pissy if you have a airsoft rifle without the tip. all you would need to do to cover you ass is wipe it off with a rag soaked in paint thinner/rubbing acholol.

been doing that for years on my airsoft rifles and never had a problem.

no i cant spell.

Welp, I don't plan on actually using it outside. It's mainly going to be on display in my house.

I just got it.

Hot water, a wrench, and twisting counter-clockwise did it!

Luckily, there are metal/plastic pieces underneath the crap (instead of holes) so it still looks like it should.

I'll post pics and a review later.
