The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I have a G/P Pulse rifle with a TM thompson, the magazine is far to tight when inserted and takes for ever and a lot of strength to remove, i loosened the shroud it was not that, it seems the slot that grips the T shaped part of the mag is to tight any ideas of how to rectify this? im thinking i may have to somehow sand something

Sand down the T-shaped part of the mag a little bit... You'll see paint wear anyway on the bit that needs shaved down.

Did you assemble the PR yourself, or buy it ready made?

If the latter, try the guide (in reverse ) I link to in my sig to get to the wires involved.

I take a drill and run it up and down the T slot on the thompson to open it up, just get one a tiny bit larger than the track... I think 5/32" but let me double check.

Page 6 has a pic that shows the shroud half with the counter on it, with a plastic plate/shield covering the wiring between the battery connector and counter display unit.

It's held by screws, so removing them should enable you to sort out the wiring:

I ended up doing that with mine as the supplied connector was really flimsy & a wire became detatched the first time I used it!

If your problem is definitely at, or close to, the connector then it's an easy fix. Just stagger the joints, solder the replacement connector on & cover each joint with heat shrinkable sleeving. I got my replacement connector from a branch of Maplins for just over £1 if I recall correctly.

Cheers.

John. :)

P.S: Glad you got soreted out with a PR in the end.

Thanks john its the connector its self the plastic that covers the wires and the metal bits has disintergrated, this is obviously due to age so a new conecctor is def needed

I see. Just soldering a replacement on would be the quickest fix then.

It may not just be the age of the connector though. From the outset I thought mine looked really poor quality & was proved right when I first connected a battery! You'll see the likes of the Maplins one's are much better. :)
