Hello Peeps,


I need anyone or an expert who is good with mauri airsoft magazines to answer this for me.

How can i attach my Bottom Magazine cap to the M1A1 Thompson Magazine. So it's sturdy!!!!

What i did with mine was to fabricate a u shaped bracket that screws to the front and back of the mag (using self tapping screws) and secured to the mag bottom. Then I filled the mag bottom with resin so it encases the bottom of the bracket to give a solid mag bottom with the mag encased and attached.

I think it's a mag base adapter that matt noble made for the G&P mag base, if that's what you're on about?

Matt made 2 versions of this, kind of. He made a complete mag base specifically for airsofters with a hole in the bottom to allow the user to still wind the magazine mechanism and also an adapter version for attaching the existing G&P mag base to an airsoft magazine but so that it would actually stay on. Neither, I believe, is currently availale but it never hurts to ask. With any luck he may do another run in the future but I believe is busy with other projects at the moment. I'm sure he'll see this and comment anyway.

If I was you, I'd hit up JAAKUB, and see if he still has them.


I have 12 mag bottoms that have already been primered.

Only five of them are reserved. As friendlyskies pointed out,

they are more geared for the airsofter.

I need to finish putting my PR back together, before I work on these.

You never specified which style of rifle/shroud you have.

G&P? Matsuo Styrene? Matsuo Resin? Hand carved from the bones of your enemies?

If he had an airsoft Thompson and a mag "Cap" that tends to fall off, hence his use of "sturdy" then I assumed he was using a G&P kit. We all know the problem with the mag bases on that. Clarification would be good though mate as Russ pointed out.
