The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

so a while ago I managed to completely ruin the "bullet (BB) counter" on my airsoft pulse rifle. I have been trying to figure out to repair it. I contacted G&P to see if it was possible to get a replacement but I never heard about back from them. A friend of mine who is heavily into electronics told me the how I can probably fix it. I would have him do it for me, but seeing how he is in the Army and just recently returned to Germany after a 19 month stent in the sandbox, he cant really help me too much.
Well i describe to him what I needed to repair it, and he told me that what I most likely needed was an "Opto Relay Switch". I have not had any luck finding this part though. so i am hoping that someone here is into electronics and can tell me where i can find this part, even better have a link they can give me.
any assistance here would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
Tommy

i think he means the "light sensitive LEDs"
its the unit in the barrel, one LED illuminates and on the other side is the sensitive LED
as a BB passes, light is blocked and it counts down..

I bought some sensor type LED's, but the part that is in the original sensor that came with the kit, which looks like an LED bulb to me, but I am not really knowledgable about electronics in any form. but the original part only has 1 wire/prong coming out of the 'bulb' part, and there are only 3 connecting wires that go to the "bulbs". Whereas the LED sensors that i bought at the store, each bulb has 2 wires/prongs coming off of it. this is where I am at a loss.
i have, again, contacted G&P to see if there is any way to order a replacement sensor from them directly. we'll see what they say if they even bother to reply.
