Please don't get me started about the f**ktards at CNN (Communist News Network). In my military experience, FOX has shown less ignorance about the military than CNN by a long shot. (However, all media outlets are pretty much ignorant).

Has anyone spotted more vid footage of us in the parade? I've been searching YouTube... nothing yet.

She jumped in with us about the time we passed an Army Navy store. She hung with us for a while but kept falling out. She had a wrist band but I don't think she was a Aliens Legacy member.

Her husband was the guy dressed as Eli from the movie The Book of Eli. Good costume, but I was confused as hell why he was suddenly in our group for the back half of the parade. It made more sense when he asked me if I'd take a picture with his wife, dressed as Vasquez, after the parade was over

Apologies for the off-topic posts. As usual I'm afraid I don't have too many pictures of my own to contribute, but as the week-after-Con goes on I'm sure more and more will start surfacing.

Sorry, I'm confused here. Are you asking for a comment to compliment the costume, or make fun of someone because you think his costume is not good enough or because you think he doesn't have the build or body type to pull it off?

I'd like some clarification on this since I know the guy in the pic and before I send him to this public board, I'd like to warn him what to expect.

We may have reached the cultural tipping point where most folks haven't seen Aliens, or aren't going to have that memory "click" when they see you in the parade. I wonder how many folks thought the Xenos were out of place marching with the "soldier cosplayers"

Maybe the lettering on that banner could be bigger too, but I imagine those things cost a bit to print!

I don't know if you could print it large enough for some of them.
I'm blind and I have no trouble recognizing botg the HUGE banner and the differences between fictional (even modified for film) military uniforms and active duty soldiers. I guess you just have to look AND think.

Guess it's a lost battle...

Actually, a new banner was brought up. New design with mounting grommets for use in parade and fan table. I've spoken to SGT Tony about this. We just need some graphic design ideas. Of course, we are calling upon all members to brainstorm this. Perhaps a new thread can be created. "Future AL projects for parade and fan table" (or whatever). I'm going to work on something for next year. But its a secret
