Extremely excited for this! Days of the Dead Atlanta will be having an Aliens reunion this year. No fan table at this time but we will be there!

So finally heard back from Days of the Dead. Weapons are good to go as long as they do not shoot anything. Do not bring any Nerf darts and shoot them across the room as that will be very bad. Once I get layout of the convention we will set up a meeting time and location. I know they want to use 2 floors but no idea where the Aliens cast will be as in the past they have split the guests up between the ballroom and the vendor hall. As always once I hear more I will let you know.

The spin I am selling my family to hit this up is "fitting into my armor by January is such a good health goal. I'll use this as motivation".

Yeah, I had that issue too.

But I have booked a room for the event and have bought tickets, I am just hoping wifeykins can get off to come with me to the event.

Quick note:
Not sure how long this will be the case, but I am finding cheaper rates for this hotel going through the "normal" hotel booking sites.
Booking through the event page looks to be about $30 a night more expensive for some reason.

Anyone with any elaborate costume plans? Might be cool to sync up. I mean, I assume an Aliens heavy loadout is the plan, but if anyone had something special in mind, can't hurt to gameplan.

I myself will have my costumes dictated by what I still fit in. Won't know that until I get the stuff out of the shed.
Candidates include Hudson style grunt, Gorman style officer, and/or drake style Smartgunner.

Toying with bringing out my 90's Cable, but may not be the venue for that.

Saturday I was looking at doing the smart gunner. I can't last too long in the suit as it is hot then switch to hicks. I can do hicks on Friday after I had my fill of joker. Sunday would be something easier.

Forgot to post on in here. I'll be coming down as well. Flamethrower fits in my checked luggage so I'll be good. The gf is in Atlanta so time is gunna be split for me but I've pretty well dedicated Saturday at con so I'll be down for shenanigans around in gear.
