The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hey all,

I haven't contacted the organisers of this yet, but it would be a good excuse for a meet-up - rumour is that BurntKona and Pixie can make it on the Saturday!

So, normal deal for a small show - add your name below:

Readyline:
Pug50 - Saturday

Saw Glenn this morning (at my local Farmers Market) and he said about his event and that Jerome was coming over for it. :)

Can't really really avoid it ;) Shame I have family staying that weekend, otherwise I would open the doors to Kona towers

Ah, just checked the website and it really is a 'comic' con. Not really my thing so I'm going to skip it and concentrate on getting ready for Expo.

Awesome! We'll have a xeno!

Yeah, I'll be there all weekend. The publishers I work for (Cinebook) are the biggest exhibitors at Bristol, apparently. So, as in LFCC last summer, I'll be dividing my time with a measure of trooping, and some time behind the stand. Looks like Saturday will be the day for trooping anyway! ^_^

Is Glenn actually coming? He didn't say anything about it to me, and I'm supposed to spend the following week at his place. :p

Anyway, on to a more vexing question: how annoyed would people be if I only brought my class A? To be honest, I don't feel lke lugging my armour around England for almost 2 weeks. Plus I can't even bring any weaponry (grmbl grmbl stupid laws grmbl) so I'd feel somewhat naked...

Vicky, the guest list is here: http://www.fantasyevents.org/bristolcomicexpo/guests.html With the exception of Serge Pelle (one of ours! ) I don't believe I know anyone there. It's all comic artists, I think.

I look forward to seeing any and all who are going. 8)

I have no problem - you know we don't really care about the costuming side!

I do have request for you though - do you have any contact with the event organisers? I'm trying for a changing space and/or free entry and I'm not getting very far (no response at all ...)

If you can't help then no problem.

Sorry, Gareth. I don't have any direct contacts. The boss might, but he's incommunicado for a few days I'm afraid. I'll ask a friend, but no guarantees.

As far as changing space goes, I do have a room booked at the Ramada, so if nothing else, you can always use that.

Note that we are probably not getting free entry to this, and no tickets are for sale on the day (???).

The deadline is Sunday (tomorrow, in the next 24 hours or so!) so go here to get tickets: http://www.fantasyevents.org/bristolcom ... ckets.html

Made it to Bristol. Wheee!

The work crew is trying to organise feeding times for ourselves. Will any of the people coming to this thing be available for/interested in a UKCM outing on Saturday night? (pub and/or restaurant) No worries if not - just doing my planning.

I'd say that was pretty successful. Wish we'd planned to stay overnight.

Great to see Jerome and Jon!

That was a tiny drop, but with crack troops! ^_^ I had a blast with you two, and it was good to see Jon again after almost four years. Hope we get to do it again soon! :delta:
