We've been asked along to ECC again this year. Its a nice venue, wasnt really advertised right last year so it was a bit of a ghost town. Hopefully thatll have been sorted this time round.

Plan is to do a prop & weapon display over 2 tables same as last year.

Ive got 3 twin rooms booked at the Lauriston Place Premier Inn. If we do 2 to a room its £65, 3 to a room its £43. Sandy and Axeman have kindly offered some crash space if you're not all about getting merry on the Saturday. The likely run of events is to finish the event, get spruced up, head out for a bite to eat then those that want to get a good nights kip can do, and the shore party will head out to various pubs / clubs round about the Cowgate.

What's the parking arrangements? Postcode etc, I get lost in Edinburgh all the time. Not a good statement from an ex hgv driver :p

Cheers pal, what about parking? I avoid Edinburgh like a dose of skitters.

Stew managed to get parked a little way away from the venue last time, but like he says, be prepared to pay through the nose for it. Im not a driver myself, but Id be inclined to look into a park and ride from somewhere a little outside the city proper. The venue is about a 20 minute walk from Waverley station.

Need to ask the wife before committing to a night out lol sounds good though, plus I would like the chance to get to meet everybody and have a laugh.

Ive updated the room situation with the responses Ive had so far. This is by no means a "Ive labelled you in that room and there you will stay" kinda thing. If it turns out we can fit in 2 rooms, so be it. Theyre cancellable up till 1pm on the day of the con, though Id prefer not to leave it that late.
