The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

hi everyone
First of all, sorry for the delay in sorting things out. as some of you know, i had a load of stuff going on, so i struggled to get things finalised.
But anyway...
Thanks for everyone who took the time to message me and let me know you were interested.

The casting is as follows

MARINES
Sgt - Skapunkninja
Grunt 1 - The_fireball (friday) / Scapey (Saturday)
Grunt 2 - Tonystorm (friday) / nocternus (Saturday)
Grunt 3 - Mark (Friday) / wildeone (Saturday)
Grunt 4 - Gunner2163 (Friday) / Crashdown (Saturday)
Briefing room Marines -Cooper, Adrian, Lisa, Graham
Cocooned marine - Padsbrat

BUGS
Abe
Rex
Boltie
Sidewinder

SCIENTISTS
Prof Carabas
Harley
Ivy
Rob Morgan
Sarah Morgan
TK-4721
577-ops

The first show is at 7pm on the friday, then finishes around 10.30. there is a 15 min break halfway through. PLEASE make sure you are all in costume and in your places by 6.50. The same happens again on Saturday.

I have hopefully attached the script to this post. im not a script writer, so sorry if it doesnt make sense lol. Remember its just a guide, nothing is set in stone. half of what makes this so much fun is all the ad-libbing :) We will be having rehearsals on friday afternoon, starting about 2. if you cant be there, please let me know because i will have to recast your part. Im hoping to have at least one full dress rehearsal before we open, but dont worry about costumes for the early ones.

Marines -
You will need full armour, helmet and a pulse rifle. Shoulder lamps are worn completely at your own risk, but as alot have been broken i would advise against it. PLEASE can you all bring a small torch to tape on the front of your pulse rifle. the best thing is a little mini maglight, or cheapo poundland torch. While 10000000 lumen tac-lights are awesome, they light up the whole complex and ruin the atmosphere pretty quickly. if you have a working MR tracker please bring it along.

Scientists -
Most of you already know what your doing. Remember to dress the part! shirt and tie, trousers, lab coat, that kind of thing. feel free to bring along anything to decorate your desks/workstation - mascots, photos, anything to make it look like a working enviroment. And as your all going to die, start practicing your screaming :)

Finally, if anyone has any large guitar/bass amps we can use, it would be a huge help! also any spare smoke machines or strobe lights will definitely come in handy

Any questions, please either post here, or Email to Skapunkninja@colonialmarines.co.uk

I'm quoting this for truth. We seriously need to borrow some amps, and hiring them would not be very cost effective.

IIRC, Boltie has access to amps... The problem is getting them down there, as bringing them would add a rather substantial amount to our travel costs as we'd need a much larger vehicle.

Just to confirm, if you are not on the above list, it means you didn't get hold of me before the cut off, and you do not have a part inside the Encounter.

It's too late for me to change anything around now, so anyone not on the list now belongs to Kev to with as he wishes outside of the actual Encounter. May God have mercy on your souls..

Two more things -
Has anyone heard from Steve (fireball)? He's been quiet Lately, and I need to know if he's still coming.

Secondly, regarding amps. We're struggling to find any to borrow, so I'm going to hit up some boot sales and try to pick a few up. I've seen suitable ones around for £30 - £40. Would anyone be opposed to chipping in a fiver each to help cover the cost?
After we can either store them ready for the next one, or sell them on and put the cash in the charity pot

Rich I *may* be able to bring at least one, and hopefully a couple of amps from work but I'm not 100% sure and I won't be until I leave home.

If I can get them on the truck then I'll bring them but I can't guarantee that they'll fit. Sorry.

Harry

Rich I need to pin Simon down for his costs on the AE Colonist wall. Once i get a total I was going to post a funds request for people to chip in for his materials. There's no reason we can't add the costs of some amps to that to.
