The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

For Sheraton shared rooms, checkin is on Weds 27th August and checkout is Tues 2nd September. As always, I'd strongly prefer if every who wants to stay in the shared rooms stays for that duration.

I should say that priority must be given to people traveling from the UK and Americans who have UKCM tattoos... ;)

I'll be travelling with the UKCM this year, since it's possibly for the last time I'll get the chance to... I'm bringing my brother along too.

Seriously considering it for 2014. Could I join in at the Hilton, Scapey?

I see no problem with this! Will need to check a few things with Lauren first, but you should be OK.
Let us know ASAP if you do wanna go, please?

They were the first hotel to release rooms and sell out. I believe they were all gone the day after DragonCon ended. In the past they have released more rooms. It is just reserving them when it happens.

Thanks!

Greg

I really want to go again, have the money it's just whether common sense wins out and I pay my credit card off or I buy flights. Largely dependant on how much commission I earn this month I suppose.

Flight prices are still expensive - Delta or BA, direct flights are still nearly £700. There are some "deals" for ~£560 but they aren't direct flights. I'm hopeful prices will drop. Often, January seems to be the cheapest time to book.

Current prices are £610 non-stop Delta, £614 non-stop BA, both from LHR.

I'm hoping the BA January sale will cause them to drop a bit more - I still guess that January will be the best time to book if possible.

I wonder if "Paying for a holiday" is a valid loan reason. Only way January flights are doable for me :/

Yeah, of course it is. :)

I've paid for a couple of D*Con trips that way.
