Does anyone fancy this one? I should be able to make it. It looks like an odd one - outdoor, charity collecting, music, treasure hunt, characters etc. However, seems like it was fun last year and the organisers seem on the ball. http://invasioncolchester.co.uk/ https://www.facebook.com/events/112930775501471/ It's in Colchester, which seems miles from everywhere  - I'll be driving from NW London.

There is more to this than meets the eye buddy The reason for the event was a UKG / Starwarriors member was seriously ill a couple of years ago to the point he nearly died the machine that kept him alive is very expensive and there are sadly only a few of them in the country  This was the first ever event ( Invasion Colchester 1 ) that several costuming clubs combined to form one big event the entire town of Colchester was "Invaded" so to speak with various costume being at specific locations around the town for the kids to go around and find the various characters. Have the UKCM been invited along this year ? I'll be there regardles with the guys from last year

I was invited on Facebook, but not the UKCM But the website suggests they are looking for more costuming groups to take part. Or is that misinterpretation? Do you have to be affiliated with certain groups to help out? |

BUT my work diary looks like it's going to be clear as I have some work being done in my theatre around that time so fingers crossed I can help out. I was asked to exhibit some of the collection last year so if I'm asked again this time (and early enough) I'll see what I can do! Harry |

I did this one with Dan and the Star Warriors last year. Was fantastic fun. I think I invited you along last year G but you couldn't make it, which was a shame as I cant imagine Abe being happier with an entire town to terrorise! |

Does anyone fancy this one? There was a bit of an odd yes/no/maybe with the organisers about whether they have space for us (?) but it now seems that there is space if people want to attend. |

After missing the LFCC due to a wedding, it looks as though this maybe my first event to come and meet some of you guys since joining the boards. Note from their official site they are advertising that there will be Colonial Marines in attendance, just wondered who will be there? |

Hey Davnel, As far as I know, Mattb, Sean and Cooper are attending with other groups. I can't make it because of work, and it's also rather close to Dragon*Con and Glasgow Comic Con, so there doesn't seem there will be any other UKCM there. I've been told by the organiser that we need to pull our finger out for next year and get more people there! |

haha, fair play.. does seem that Dragon*Con is THE event for all the marines. Hopefully once i've pulled my act together and start getting my gear sorted i'll try to make it one year! For the guys going to Colchester, i look forward to bumping in to you. Hope you dont mind a novice salivating at your gear.. promise not to get it to covered in spooge!! |
