The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Fantastic to see people again and meet more faces to put names to - too many to list but thank you all for making the weekend so awesome:

And one last thing for the AE Squad 1 - 'Yarp!'

What an amazing weekend ladies and gents!
Thank you so much for a truely enjoyable experience, and making me feel like part of of your big crazy family (with one too many "wierd uncles").
I am gutted to have missed every single run through of the AE, but theres always next year, right?
Ive got approximately a billion billion photos to sort through in the coming week, but will keep you all posted as to when they are online.
Look forward to seeing you all again soon
(ive already booked the hotel for Expo)

We got back about 5pm yesterday. I'm really sorry that we had to leave early but I was feeling really bad (still feeling like death warmed up) and wasn't looking forward to the drive home. And I'd just like to point out that I wasn't hungover as seemed to be the general consensus. I don't drink so it's just a very badly timed virus or something.

Other than that, we had an excellent time. A big thank you to everyone that organised this amazing event! My favourite UKCM outing by far! :D

I'm sure it wasn't meant in any accusing/sarcastic way, just that the vast majority of UKCM that feel rough are usually bemoaning the amount of alcohol they had previously.

Oh, I wouldn't have minded if it had been self inflicted. ;) I just always seem to get ill at things like this and it really pisses me off. I'm glad it held off until Sunday though so I could enjoy myself at the meal. I had a great time whilst I was there. :D

Vicky, do you have a chest infection/chesty cough? Only PVB mentioned you were feeling crappy and wondered if i picked it up too (although i think my Sunday was definately at least 95% self-inflicted!) because lo and behold i woke up today feeling like crap, coughing, shivery etc (and am now starting to wonder whether that facehugger was fake after all......!)

Oh, and get well soon!

Moden down and clear. Okay admittedly I got back at about 9pm but was too tired to really come online. Was great meeting everyone over the weekend, the AE was amazing, just the weekend in general was fabulous. Thanks to Big Stu for bringing the marine helmet I absolutely love it, and I finally own a part of Terry English armour though its from Sucker Punch not Aliens but I couldn't help myself.

It was cool the amount of people off here who came up to me and asked if I was Sam/naurarwen from the forum. Thanks to everyone for being so welcoming. Can't wait to do it all again.

OK, first - MASSIVE thanks must go to the directing team for making all this happen, for prodding us to move ourselves and get to it, for arranging so many fantastic guests and activities.

And how awesome were our guests, eh?
Every single one of them had all the time in the world for us. I even got to cuddle with ImageFerro Image!!

Quote of the weekend has to be Trevor Steedman - Either the one about "Woody or Woodn't he?", or the fantastic futuristic urinals in the Space Centre: "A bit high up (indicates chest height) but after you're done, they wash your bits, with soap, and even give a nice warm blast to dry you off afterward!".

I finally got to see the Harry Harris collection too! :D

I absolutely loved playing a Company Man and swanning around like I owned the place... because I do!
Guess I must have done it well as no-one ever stopped me and asked for my crew pass (which I didn't realise were even there until the end of Day 1)!

My only regret is that I was always caught up in the AE and couldn't make it to any of the panels or screenings :(
How did they go? Did the guests answer many of the questions we posted on the board here?

I also know next time to get the Monday off work!

Matt - I've got a sore throat and had a bit of a cough yesterday but nothing more than that. Got shivers, headache, aches and pains, typical flu-like symptoms.

Looks like I might have been a bit of a Typhoid Mary. ;)

Scouse-trooper down and clear.

What a fantastic weekend, thanks go to Dan for asking me on Friday night if I could fill in as they was a man down on the aliens experience, had a whale of a time getting face raped by Harry de Hugger whose back in his tank asleep, bless him as all that humping has tired him out.
Had a even bigger blast playing the panicked marine, Sean's face was a picture as I couldn't tell if he was thinking " great acting " or " feckin overactor " lol

I brought my son with me to most events I do cos it keeps him outta trouble, he disappeared mid morning on the Saturday to the nerf range never to be seen again until home time, then disappeared Sunday morning right throughout the day, I later hear that he was helping out on the nerf range all weekend.
I was getting feedback that he was a star for helping out and to top it all he's been inducted into the UKCM Homers heroes squad?!?!? WTF ?!?!?

Thanks guys!! Took me ages getting my kit together and now I have to start again for my son !!!!

Anyhoo, great weekend and thanks to everyone for making this weekend work.

Paul, I forgot that - I wandered over to the range for a looky to be greeted by your boy, and had a Maverick thrust into my hand with a cry of 'Shoot me! I'll be a moving target!' He did look a bit concerned when i put the Nerf gun down and unslung the pulsey though!

He looked like he was being a great help.

Everyone thanks for being so welcoming and friendly as always. Hope fully see you all soon.
