The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

www.anchorpointessays.com

Some of you may remember Mike Lynch who posted on here a few years ago.
Well after talking in the chat room I decided to check his site for updates - its closed.

Anchor Point essays was the most comprehensive and detailed file of the Aliens and their species.
Their behaviour, breeding, hunting and really everything in between.

This is a sad loss to the community :(

I like Mike a whole lot, and I'm sure that was not an easy thing for him to do, even under those circumstances. He says as much in the disclosure there, but I am willing to bet it's a big understandment of his feelings.

It is a loss, to be sure.

Old sites never die...

They just go to the Internet Archive to regroup. ;) :)

No idea.

Things like pictures might eventually expire first. Links are next I think.

The orginal Aliens Archive is still in there- and that ended over 4 years ago.

The Web Archive is supposed to be a full archive of the web, so theorectically it will never die (they cache on their own servers).

That is indeed sad. It's right up there with Willie's site in terms of longevity, and I miss having Mike on this board, he was a creative individual. I hope he comes back some day.

And like Dom, I too have some of his site in hardcopy.
