The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

So, simply put, how should I wash my MAA bdus? While I'm here, can I get a reference picture of the patches so I can stitch my ukcm ones on?

I own both a cotton pair and ripstop pair.

I'm pretty sure washing them is no different than any other wash and wear colour clothes (cold or warm water but not hot), however-

It is the drying process that might shrink pure cotton. So I would hang dry them.

I'm fairly sure of what the placement of patches would be (as they really should not be much different than the standard placement of patches), however on the chance there is a difference, I'll let a UKCM member answer. :)

One bit of advice when washing, turn them inside out to wash, seems to help protect the BDU's and the patches.

I have never tumble dried my BDU's, far too afraid of them shrinking.

Cheers,

Andy

I second the gentle cycle, mine are starting to come apart.
Also, if you have not already, make sure you tack down the pocket corners on both the pockets and the flaps, as that comes apart first
