My USCM camos have arrived, way sooner than anticipated!



Need to make some alterations - the jacket and waist are too wide and the legs are a bit short - but other than that they're ready for patches. Nametapes are on the way, anyone know a good source for the rest of the patches I need?

MAA, of course. They actually came from another customer who ordered the wrong size - MAA had him send me that unused set, which would fit me better than him, and is sending that guy a different set. I would have preferred the ripstop material over the cotton, hehe, but this works best for everyone.

I`m really glad this turned out well for you & also for the original customer too.

They looks excellent. As for patches,if looking for USCm just try ebay mate always on ebay or Scifi stores,though you`ll probably have luck here too. Plus you have the "Special" designed patches as well.

Last year I had ordered my Pattern 2 BDU's from MAA only weeks before DragonCon and due to my procrastination he was not able to fill my order for cotton twill (my first choice for screen accuracy), so I ended up getting the rip-stop -- which are just as nice. I would still like to get another set, but in cotton twill this time.

As far as the legs being a bit short -- that really shouldn't matter much since you tuck them into your jungle boots anyways. In fact, unless you are a giant in stature, a little bit shorter is better -- that way you don't have all of that extra material bunched up in your boots.

Mine are in cotton twill.

Congrats on the new gear, outcry. Yours look darker than mine for some reason.

Ripstick - What size BDUs do you have? If you'd rather have the cotton twill than the ripstop, and they're the same size, I smell a trade!

As far as the legs go, I'm a lanky guy. I did a "boot tuck test" earlier and they're actually a little too short to stay tucked in the boots I have now on their own. Might be able to take the hem out and get another half inch, but I may have to do some creative sewing.

Death - the color difference is probably just lighting. The pic didn't come out as sharp as I would have liked it so I photoshopped the contrast a bit. That probably explains the slight color shift.

Yeah, upon looking at your BDUs a little closer, I can see that they aren't as dark as I thought initially. There's a little corner of the picture and I can see on your sleeve that the colors are just like mine.

I just replaced the rocker patch on my 2PAT BDU's and seeing the original color under the patch next to the faded color everywhere else.....they weather really well in the wash even after just a few cycles.

Patches? You need patches?

Tony, I need some of those patches! I've just gotten the notion that our "standard" USCM patches, + these, + the UKCM patches, + the upcoming Aussie patches will make an excellent display next to my USCM gear!
