The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Anyone got one? Good/bad? How heavy/troopable is it?

Very troopable. It has a bit of weight but not too bad. Use a strap.

Accuracywise, it's pretty okay. A couple of details here and there could be improved. And the green paintjob.

i have one too. its a nice piece of resin with an ok overall finish and a good weight to it.

and for me its a piece of PR history, the only licensed one to date.

but !!! imho its a little bit overpriced these days

i definately wouldnt pay more than 350-370 bucks with original box and all paperwork, and not more than 250 without paperwork.

Yeah, you'll need a sling for sure, it's a bit on the heavy side, and your gear might scratch up the finish on the icons shroud, so be ready for a repaint after the first con you take it too, find a paint that's close, or that you like, mask off the black and repaint.

I have found that Krylon BBQ paint matches the black paint Icons used very closely too.

And beware the trigger being busted off by people who don't know better than to yank on it like it's real. I think it's like pushing on a bruise for some people, they can't help themselves!!:D

I got one and simply love it !!! It has some heft to it though.

However, it's more of a display piece than a con carry around piece in my opinion as mine has gotten marked up pretty good on the sides from my armor

What do you guys have against real-world natural weathering of your PR? The left side of mine is scratched to hell and I wouldn't have it any other way. If it happens to us, it would happen to "real" grunts. :)
