I'd like to ask you guys to tell me what you think of my impression thus far, I've been taking a fairy cheap way into making the rig, and I'm waiting for my mg42 body to come in to start on the gun itself briananim.kicks-ass.net:9...%20Marine/ I'll be building the gun using metal, welding, etc all myself, Nothing here was bought as-is and amost everything except the headset was home-depot stuff. the headset WILL and DOES transmit to a TV with sound/video if I want, and can plug into a phone/radio etc. PS: Please be gentle |

Well....from store bought items I think it looks awesome. Now I'm no expert on the SG rig but it looks great and I think the majority of people will think its great to. You always get the screen accurate police though, no names Jesse ![]() ![]() Do you feel the rig can hold the MG42 body and accessories once finished and manuevre efficiently? I'm thoroughly impressed though. The headset looks great and transmitting to a TV? AWESOME!!! |

Yeah, the rig is solid as a rock as ALL the weight is on the metal brackets you dont see behind the scenes. The arm itself is welded/bolted steel and is very sturdy |

I think it's cool.. I'm a "I want it EXACTLY like the original" kind of guy but I realize when looking at yours that it's really cool... I mean it's cheap and it gives the same impression as a smart gunner so why not just pretend it's a predecessor to the smart gun and call it something else??? Or another squad using a different weapon with the same features... or whatever... Honestly, good work! Nice to see! |

Well the gun itself will be the same, it is just the chest rig that is different. I'm thnking of dropping a version 2 gearbox (aka m16-m4) inside the mg42 body when I get it with a flashbulb to make a lil muzze flash. |

Nice work! Although I do have to say the chestplate could be made a little more accurate...you should be able to do so using the materials you already used. "How lucky are the few who know where they belong." |

I'm having trouble getting accurate creces with this plastic, it kind of wants to fold how it wants to fold haha. When I get the gun in (and finished), I'll sow everyone the full setup and get final opinions on if I should re-d0 the chest rig (Note: The rig as it stands now is the black one on tho's pictures, I was going for a "RAID" can look, so black works well) After It's all said and done and I apply for the "charter" I want to get a sqad togeather for comic-con 07 to "patrol" around the con in full gear. |
