The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Sky movies had it on last night but it was the SE version.
I think the Channel 4 one is the standard version.

If nothing else is on,I`ll be watching it.

I don't think I've ever watched the original version since the SE came out. I never watch it on TV either, as (unless it's on the BBC) you have to put up with adverts, and possible editing.

I'd rather watch it properly from DVD.

You know you're into 'Aliens' a little too much when:

You're lying in bed watching it on TV, really thirsty but thinking to youself "I'll wait for the next ad break before I go down and get a drink", despite owning the thing on DVD, video, VCD, Laserdisc....

Yeah I know what you mean! lol

I have to admit though that I decided not to watch it this evening.
I watched "The Deer Hunter" instead being as I've never actually sat down and watched it all the way through.
Plus it's always nice to be reminded of how HOT Meryl Streep is. ;)

We watched the first half hour. It's good, but it's no 'Dune'.

It must be said, I was really into it until that little girl bit the Marine on the hand. Marines are supposed to be hardcore, but he was a wuss. The magic was ruined for me there and then.

I fell asleep half way through (hard week at work not boredom), but it's OK cos Harry tells me Ripley gets maried in the end, so an enjoyable romantic chick flick after all

Any movie that has cornbread and robots in it can't be all bad

Blimey! All these responses about some Alien film or something but nobody's agreed with me yet :P
Am I the only man here who thinks Meryl Streep is hot? :D
