Hello Chappies. So i'm making my next costume for casual drops maybe and of cause another manniquin display. And i'm looking for some pictures of the Parker jackets that were used in the movie so i can assemble a quick Fury 161 prisoner jacket. I would love it if anyone can give me a hand with the resources and would also like it if someone could help me with the picture designs. Thanks Callum |

Not sure what you mean by picture designs but if you mean patches there were some available a while back. Mike Rush made the red & black 'W-Y 161' and 'Serenity through Confinement' patches. I don't doubt these have been copied and are probably out there if you look hard enough. As for the Parka jackets ('Parker' was Brett's colleague on the Nostromo) I can't think of what they are off the top of my head although the name 'Alpha Industries' comes to mind. I'm sure someone will chime in about these. Have you checked the archives section? Harry |

Haha, Well done Harry. Got me back for the old man Harris piccy! *KINDA* Yeah, i have the two badges and the print out design with the "W-Y" thing to go on the back. Which i shall get pressed on by my local T-shirt pressers. Thanks Karyn for the link, i think i shall very much buy one of them and experiment. If I recall correctly the large W-Y insignias on the backs of the garments looked more like they were applied either with aerosol car paint or fabric paint. None that I saw looked like they were T-shirt stencils. Harry |

Hi Callum, ...the Parker jacket (WY Company: for Aaron, Clemens and Andrews...) have NO large W-Y insignia on the back... The W-Y insignias are on the backs of the prisoners jackets ONLY  !Bye Giò |

If I recall, been a while since I've seen the film, they had a black WY on the back of their shirts/jackets correct? What I would do is cut a stencil, out of poster board (whatever), tape it to your shirt, pick up a boot brush and some black shoe polish and rub that stuff right into your jacket. We did this in the Marines, in recruit training, and the effect is perfect. It weathers pretty well, over time.... and is fairly permanent even if you throw it in the wash. |

Vito, is there any chance you could post a photo of the dove patch? I'm just curious whether it's one of the ones I made (I was the first) or whether it's a recast. (Please note I mean this as no reflection on you whatsoever!)

Mike, do you still offer them? I thought the WY 161 is embroidered. That's what I got from the PSofL auction picts. Got some picts george? I did some line art referencing the auction picts, and haven't seen a good repro. |

Ok, ...the details !... the WY 161 red patches of all prisoners are silk screened ... ... while those ones for the Prison staff (Clemens, Andrews and Aaron) are embroidered! Also ... the “Serenity” patch (only for the Prison staff) are embroidered ... but those ones for the STUNT version jackets ... are silk screened! I hope this helps Bye Giò |

Great to see this thread started up, being as I'm going to be putting together one of these jackets for myself probably next month. (I have plans of making my own molds for vacuum-forming USCM armor, but that's on the back burner.) I'm looking forward to seeing how you guys who are making some do yours. |
