Thanks for letting us all know Neil in what must have been a very difficult post to write. I met Frank a couple of times when he came over to the UK for the National Space Centre Sci-Fi Weekends. He was a great guy and always fun to talk to and share our passion for 'Aliens' together. My wife Sue was very fond of Frank too and he always took the time to wish her a happy birthday every year.

One fond memory I have is that I remarked to Frank how much I liked a Weyland Yutani resin plaque that he had. A couple of weeks went by and a package arrived from Germany. It was one of the plaques which I still have and is prouldly displayed on my office door at home.

RIP my friend. You will be missed by all who knew you.

Harry

Just heard about this over on AVP galaxy, was a bit of a shock to say the least.

Have posted about it on the UKCM FB page (hope the other admins didn't mind, as I've not been active for a while there).

Genuinely saddened to hear about this, met him at LFCC a few years back. Such a really nice person.

Absolutely terrible news to hear this morning. I definitely kick myself for not being able to make it to a European conference to meet him now. He will be missed

I don’t visit much anymore but I really wanted to post my respects for, and sadness at, the passing of Frank Peters.

Frank was always a constant in Aliens fandom, he was so friendly, supportive and enthusiastic, and in my experience, those traits spilled over into so many other areas other than just a common interest in Aliens.

He will be missed by so many, my thoughts to his friends, family and fellow Aliens fans at this incredibly sad time.

I also had hoped to meet Frank someday and am saddened by this news. I only ever "met" him via online communications. He was always a voice of reason when things got tense and was respected by everyone. He's going to be sorely missed

Frank was one of the first folks to welcome me here, some 12 years or so ago. He was patient, knowledgeable, and very funny. As my son and I started learning German he would cheer us on with encouraging notes, and I had hoped at some point to meet him (and the rest of GERCM) at a convention. Mein herzliches Beileid.

Neil I think I speak for everyone here when I say that I hope you and those close to Frank are doing okay at this awful time.

I wanted you to know that while Frank and his memory (and wonderful legacy) are of course foremost in all of our thoughts, we're thinking of you all too.

Well said H. Was really sorry to hear this - always enjoyed our interactions together. Frank was always a joy to talk Aliens with and always found his enthusiasm for this near 40 year old movie joyful and infectious. Keeping him and his family in my thoughts.
