My suggestion would be: if you're sure that it's not the action of the Rem 870 sticking (it wasn't on mine), slightly bend the upper halves of the pump grip outside and put something between the "rails" that is slightly larger than the natural distance between them. I put a cork sanding block inside that was just a tick wider. That didn't really take at first though, but then I heated the pump grip up with a heat gun (not much, mind you, just a little for it to take the shape), and I haven't had a problem since.
If that doesn't work (some Rem 870 replicas may be wider than the real thing) best thing might be to sand the channels of the pump grip down a bit, but that would be my last resort...
