Post subject: | SPAS PUMP HANDLE STICKING ON SPAS CAGE |
HI All. I am building my Pulse Rifle and have a real SPAS pump grip and Cage. With the Rem 870 in position, the pump grip sticks and is not a fast fluid action. Has anybody with the real items had to remove some of the inner curve of the grip to ease its glide? Any Help appreciated. |

My suggestion would be: if you're sure that it's not the action of the Rem 870 sticking (it wasn't on mine), slightly bend the upper halves of the pump grip outside and put something between the "rails" that is slightly larger than the natural distance between them. I put a cork sanding block inside that was just a tick wider. That didn't really take at first though, but then I heated the pump grip up with a heat gun (not much, mind you, just a little for it to take the shape), and I haven't had a problem since. If that doesn't work (some Rem 870 replicas may be wider than the real thing) best thing might be to sand the channels of the pump grip down a bit, but that would be my last resort... Hope that helps. Cheers! Roman |

Pressed the SPAS grip over a piece of wood, slightly wider that the handle. Warmed it with a heat gun then let it cool. Glides beautifully now. Thanks for suggestions. |
