Hi, this may be a bit long and rambling and I can’t see if this has been answered before: I already have an airsoft Pulse Rifle that I built up from a kit and a cheap Chinese airsoft Thompson years ago. I am looking for a project to build a 3d printed version (cause one Pulse Rifle is never enough!), I am also looking to do this on the cheap as I will have to explain it to the missus, hence the cheaper 3d printed model option! I have a 3d printer, but I don’t really have the time to print of these large parts. I recently bought a 3d kit off ebay, but it turned up and was almost twice the size of my airsoft version, so returned it. Is there a reliable producer of a decent 3d kit or should I just bite the bullet and print it myself, or another option I am not thinking of? Thanks in advance.

Why wouldn't you print it yourself? I'm currently making one from lilykill on patreon. It's alot of plastic I probably have 80 bucks in the plastic alone. The model I have is totally mechanical and 28 inches long.

This is the most intricate and detailed 3D model I have seen. He has also worked hard to improve accuracy and his latest v3.0 looks really damned good.

I believe he has a waitlist for providing printed/completed items, though.

Quick question for you; When you said your latest purchase was nearly twice the size of a "cheap chinese airsoft" conversion from years ago, are you positive your cheap chinese one was full sized? I only ask because I know there are 'undersized' Thompsons and SPASs cheap springers out there. I actually sought them out when I built my son a 2/3 scale rifle when he was a little guy.

Lol! No it is full scale, I think it may have been an early Snow Wolf self build kit. The ebay model was oversized I could barely get my hand around the pistol grip, I had a a discussion with the seller as he thought it was the correct size, but mine comes in at the right length, give or take a cm. I'll try and upload a picture if I can find it.

The one I have is just as detailed and not from the guy you linked. It's all still loose waiting on electronics to get here. Need to resize the pics I have to post it.

Lilykill was the original creator of the thompson files that plenty of people have ripped off for their version of the M41A, you would need to compare his files with http://alienscollection.com/ in terms of accuracy. But If you have a 3d printer then why waste your money on 3d printed kits? My files dont even use 2kg , so even factoring in the purchase price of the files, you would only be out of pocket that and a couple rolls of fillament.

I see I talk to him a bit his models are highly detailed he just did the dead space plasmacutter. Yeah not sure why anyone with a printer would pay for a printed kit. I printed my brother's at 40 % to add weight so I used 3 rolls.
