The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I was able to grab the old Hot Toys Hicks and Vasquez figures cheap-ish after a loooong hunt. Was wanting those for ages!
After tossing the base bodies and the Hicks headsculpt, I took the brush to both figures and here is where they stand - still WIP:

Mods I made include repainting some gear, adding a new knife sheath, new padlock, add a helmet band for our beloved corporal and weathering all armor parts.
Once Hicks' new headsculpt arrives, more painting will follow - Vasquez' head will also be repainted, she has a seamless body on the way to me.

Now I would totally love to get the rest of the squad. :D

Corporal Hicks has a has a head for now.
Not the final Biehn sculpt, but better than headless!

Sixth scale Hot Toys Hicks is now joined by Vasquez, who finally got her body and a much needed repaint today.
Vas now has brown eyes, a teardrop tat and some more shading on her face.
The new body is a seamless joints affair and the proportions are pretty "Jenette":

Looking forward to seeing your squad in the future.
I am so tempted to get more of these guys.... but they're pricey most of the time.

I did mostly finish Drake, Vaz, Gorman, Ferro and Spunkmeyer. The progress can be seen here (mostly armor upgrades page 1, full figures on page 2)

My other troopers all have completed and customized bodies/armor/etc...but I have just been putting off on learning to paint heads! Got derailed late 2017...

I showed these pictures to my husband when I first found this topic because the head-sculpts are scary-accurate. Looking forward to seeing the rest.
