The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Did we ever determine what the floor plating/grating was on the Sulaco or colony on LV-426?

I got them from a UK company called Key Industrial. It was a while back so I'm not sure they stock them these days though.

So these are the options:
https://www.plastic2go.com.au/products/ ... t/p2g850/#
https://www.plastic2go.com.au/product-c ... 00-pallet/

A printed image laid on the floor
or a 3d modeled and printed unit.

I'd be up for that, all I need is a good picture (which we already have, both here and in the thread on RPF) and an idea of scale - ideally close to detail level, not just the overall pallet size.

Well my mate has some of the Pellets but there white, but as close as you will find.

He bought a whole truck load, and he did put them up on the base PX but back then no one was realy interested so he took them of.

You can see the floor pallets in the photo.

hmm...

Good food for thought.

I was also thinking the easier option was to just take the captured print files and print them out and use them as interlinked floor mats. Easy to store and transport and get replacements.

Before wifey kills me on all the props I am storing, I will probably go with the printed route if possible.

I'm all up for printing stuff. If you can provide me with a good, detailed picture of the pallet with a ruler or something else for scale, I'll whip up a 3D model.

Hmm. ..

Looks like I need to find a good picture that can be blown up and printed out as a 4ft by 4ft print.

The floor prints are typically throw aways so a bulk order would be needed regardless...
