Hi. I’m making a Sentry Gun battery and was wondering if anyone here knows what was on the side of the battery. I know it was some kind of railway gun part, but which one? Any help would be great.

The side part is from the Hasegawa 1:72 scale "Leopold" railway gun kit. Cheers, Stefan |

Sorry for the late response. I haven't done any mesurements on this at the moment, but I’ll get to that at a later date. Here’s what it's looking like at the moment. Still not finished, but I'm getting there. I've just been very busy the last few months due to my normal day job, and trying to get the German citizenship behind me before Brexit, which I have accomplished, so now that’s all out the way I can carry on with building. You all know me, I love building stuff from metal, but I'm not much of a writer, so sorry about that, but I think the photos speak for themselves.

Incredible! Pictures are way better than words in this case.  Are you going to do the top cover as well? I've been looking for ages to find some good pictures of it, but all I was able to find are blurry screenshots. It's good to hear that you got the the citizenship. Most of us probably can't even imagine how many things you have to sort out due to the Brexit. Cheers, Stefan |

Hi Stefan. Thank you for your opinion mate it's much apprieciated. I will be doing the grill cover for the top which I will also have to scratch-build, but I don't know if it's going to be screen-accurate, so I'll just have guess because all I have are also the blurry screenshots, but I don't think that should be a problem. |

Not quite finished but I'm getting there, just have to get the knob for the side and the lid finished. I did make a mistake on the body, it's basically too high. I realised this too late to do anything about it; it was after I received the Hasegawa Leopold gun rail part that I realised this, so I had to extend the rail part which turned out quite well, my only problem now is finding the correct decals.

Does anyone here happen to have any ideas where I could find the stencil fonts for the battery! Any help at all would be most appreciated. Melissa said she would do them for me, but I need to find the correct graphic or fonts first which is not easy. |

FYI, Typical aliens fonts were Eurostile and Helvetica. |

There was a guy who created the text for a sentry gun project over on the Side Show collectors forum years and years ago, but I don't know how accurate it was. |

The original box has some Text on it that literally says "673 B 54-72 B -CM MICROGRAMMA BOLD EXTENDED EUROSTILE BOLD EXTENDED"" So I guess that's what was used (modified as stencil fonts). Cheers, Stefan |

I can't seem to find good screenshots of the batteries to look at them so once somebody sends me some images I'll do my best to make stencils  This project is incredible by the way! Stefan, Did they really paint the font names on them? haha that's awesome! |

So i got the lid finished over the Weekend,but becouse there are basicaly no good excisting photos of the lid,i just basicaly improvised,so its probably no where near film acurate. The paint colour is from Belton, Molotow Premium Mocca,it's the nearest thing to BB which a friend of mine found which i think works pretty well.

Just a little update on the Batterie,which i've been putting back know for the best part of nearly a year know,so i thought i shoud get this finished. Got the cable with the jacks finished and the Frequenz knob done so basicaly it's done,Apart from the stencils,which i will try and sort out next week.

Got the first lettering done on both sides using just a stencil and a white marker pen,and it turned out pretty good i think.
