Alright Marines! I know DCon7 is still a ways off, but I think it's important that we get one day planned in advance.
I know that we all have other costumes that we've worked on or are working on or will be working on. We've spent $$ and want to show 'em off. We've got other buddies in Sci-Fi, SW, Superheros, etc. to gear up with.
Remember when planning your costume sessions these important Colonial Marine Events-
Saturday of the Con- Parade! We need to break the record for Marines for the parade. I can't remember for sure, but I think it's 21, 23?
Colony Sweep- Even more fun than the Parade, we re-enact the movie and sweep through the hotels, starting at the Marriott, outside, up the street, finishing at the Hyatt. It is a
TON OF FUN and you don't want to miss it!! It's great photo ops, Spat's ace cameraman even filmed last year's sweep.
The crowds love it, and it's a time when the Colonial Marines take centerstage. You don't want to miss it.
So again, make sure when you're setting costume session times you leave all day Saturday for the Colonial Marines!
